Biden forgets son's place of death during speech

The American President Joe Biden incorrectly said that his son died in Iraq during a speech in Florida on Tuesday.

This came as he tried to salvage his mistake in which he confused Ukraine for Iraq blaming the war in the Arab country for the inflation instead of the war in the European country, however, he ended up making another mistake in which he appeared to forget where his late son died.

“They talk about inflation … inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq and the impact on oil and what Russia’s doing … excuse me, the war in Ukraine,” the president said. “I’m thinking about Iraq because that’s where my son died.”

However, although Beau Biden did serve as a lawyer in the military in Iraq, he died of brain cancer in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland, United States.

A few minutes following his inaccurate statement about his son, he mentioned his son once again, correctly stating the cause of his death.

“My son, who died of stage 4 glioblastoma, the cost of those drugs was enormous,” Biden said.

The president has stated in the past that he believes his son’s cancer was caused by toxic burn pits which he was exposed to during his deployment.

On Oct. 13, he also incorrectly said during a speech in Colorado that his son “lost his life in Iraq.”

This is not the first time Biden has made false public statements, however, those statements seemed to have increased during his time as president.
