Greater Amman Municipality takes several measures to limit effect of heatwave

Mayor of Amman, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, decided to extend the postponement of the work for dustmen for Mondays and Tuesdays from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm, while water and head coverings are to be distributed.

The decision came due to the heatwave currently affecting Jordan so that workers would protect themselves from the sun’s extreme heat during peak hours.

Greater Amman Municipality also sprayed water on a number of streets in various regions in downtown Amman which is one of the hottest places in Jordan.
