Jordan recorded five deaths and 3,946 new coronavirus cases in one week (from Aug. 20 until Aug. 26), according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.

The total death toll reached 14,110.

The number of cases witnessed a decrease of around 18.3 percent in comparison to the 4,832 cases which were recorded last week.

There are 59 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 3,353 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 21,957 PCR tests were conducted in one week.

The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 18 percent.
