According to statistics, the name Mohammed was used 7,339 times (which is 7.2 percent of the total number of males born last year), while the name Salma was used 1,716 times (which is 1.8 percent).

In 2020, the most common male names were: Mohammed, Adam, Ahmed, Youssef, Omar, Shahem, Ameer, Sanad, Abdullah, Ali, Kinan, Hashem, Rayan, Zaid, Jad, Abdul Rahman, Taim, Ibrahim, Khaled, Rashid. The most common names for females in 2020 were: Salma, Mira, Teen, Jouri, Naya, Misk, Maryam, Lian, Lynn, Massa, Maria, Ayla, Farah, Sarah, Tolin, Tala, Zina, Nour, Ghazal, Yasmine.
