Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced Thursday that Russia demanded Kyiv and the United States to provide data on military biological activity in laboratories in Ukraine, according to Sputnik.

Zakharova said during a press briefing, “The tense reaction and the lack of response at all, the absence of evidence, confirms the correctness of the Russian allegations of the above-mentioned extremely dangerous and illegal activities... Once again, we demand that Kyiv and Washington provide all information about military biological weapons and activity in laboratories on the territory of Ukraine and all the necessary steps to solve this problem. No need to say anything into the microphone or make excuses,” adding just “give us the documents.”

Zakharova indicated that Moscow may use Article 5 of the Biological Weapons Convention to carry out consultations on US laboratories in Ukraine.
