Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday that talks with Russia aimed at ending the war were beginning to “sound more realistic,” AFP reported.

This came in a video address as talks grind on between Moscow and Kyiv in a bid to halt the nearly three-week-old conflict in Ukraine.

Zelensky said, "It is important. It is difficult, but important, because any war ends in an agreement. Meetings continue. As I am told, the positions in the negotiations sound more realistic. However, there still needs to be more time for decisions to be in Ukraine's interests.”
