Ibrahim Al-Badour, head of the Education and Health Committee at the National Center for Human Rights, said that the numbers of newly registered corona infections are the peak of the fourth wave of the pandemic.

As such, Al-Badour added, in a phone call to Roya Saturday, that he expects a decrease in the number of cases and a gradual increase in the recorded numbers during the next 4-6 weeks.

He expected that the beginning of next April would witness a breakthrough in the government's procedures and restrictions to deal with the pandemic, including the mask and conducting examinations for those coming to Jordan.

He called for not conducting PCR tests, and only a rapid test, saying that it is logical from a medical point of view.

Al-Badour said that the coronavirus may be seasonal in the coming years, and that caution is required from the occurrence of waves in the future, saying: “I expect that we have reached the ends.”

He stressed that the only sector that was oppressed during the two years of the pandemic in Jordan is the education sector, calling for the return of face-to-face education and the start of the semester on February 20.

He demanded a special protocol take place in the first days of students returning to their schools on the 20th of this month, and the necessity of wearing a mask and physical distancing.
