At least 13 people were killed Saturday in a road accident in the western Mexican state of Jalisco.

Additionally, at least 11 others were injured following the accident.

A van with 23 people on board traveling to the Jalisco municipality of San Juan de Los Lagos overturned on a highway as the passengers were pilgrims from the city of Toluca who were going to attend the annual Catholic celebrations there.
