The decisions included conducting a PCR test for all those entering Jordan by land, air and sea border crossings, regardless of their vaccination status.

Any case suspected of having the new variant will be institutionally quarantined in a hotel inside Amman until the final result of the examination or genetic sequencing covid testing appears.

The decisions, also noted that if the test turns out positive, the patient will be isolated for a period of 14 days, but if the case is confirmed to be infected with Omicron, then the case is institutionally isolated in a hotel in Amman for a period of 14 days, during which a PCR examination is carried out on the fifth day to follow up.

The decisions stipulated the mandatory conduct of a PCR examination 48 hours before any guests attend at parties and gatherings, under the condition that they are vaccinated and that no more than six months have passed since their second dose.
