Want to receive the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine? Here's what you need to know
Thursday, a member of the National Committee for Epidemics Bassam Hijjawi confirmed that Jordan will begin offering the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine to those aged 18 and above starting Thursday, Nov. 11.
Those eligible to receive the third dose of the vaccine are:
- Aged 18 and above.
- At least six months have passed following their second dose of the vaccine.
Hijjawi added that it will be administered in the same centers that offer the first and second doses.
Hijjawi noted that the reason behind offering the third dose of the COVID-18 vaccine, is the increase in the number of coronavirus infections in Jordan.
He advised those wishing to receive a third dose of the vaccine to get the same type of the vaccine used in the first and second doses.
Hijjawi indicated that all vaccines are safe and effective.
He noted that anyone can receive the third dose without registering on the platform.

Wednesday, the National Committee for Epidemics held a meeting earlier in which it recommended giving the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to ages 18 and above, given that at least six months have passed following their second dose of the vaccine.
