Wednesday, the presidency of the Iraqi parliament announced that the decision to dissolve the parliament will enter into force on Thursday, according to a previous vote.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bashir Al Haddad, said that the parliament voted on March 31 to dissolve itself on Oct. 7.

Therefore, there is no need to hold a voting session for this purpose.

Notably, the legislative elections will be held next Sunday, and according to the electoral law, Parliament will dissolve itself 3 days before the election date.
