Wednesday, a number of directors and heads of departments in the Ministry of Health and Al Bashir Hospitals have been dismissed effective immediately following the death of a five-year-old after she was misdiagnosed twice.

The dismissal was issued by order of the Minister of Health, Firas Hawwari, and it included the dismissal of the director of the Emergency Bashir Hospital, the head of the emergency department, the director of the General Surgery Hospital, and the head of the surgery department at Al Bashir Hospitals.
