The Kuwaiti Government Communications Office Tuesday announced a ban on international travel for non-vaccinated citizens, starting Aug. 1.

The office explained in a statement that children under the age of 16 and those who have a Ministry of Health certificate stating that they cannot be vaccinated and pregnant women who obtained a certificate of proof of pregnancy from the authorities are excluded from the decision.

Monday, the Kuwaiti Cabinet announced the reopening of all activities, with the exception of gatherings, such as weddings. Children's activities will be opened as of Sept. 1.
