Monday, the Minister of Health Feras Hawari called on citizens, residents and those coming to Jordan to comply with the required health and safety measures.

Hawari said that Jordan witnessed an increase in the daily positive PCR test rate Monday, as it stood at 3.72 percent, after it reached 1.8 percent several weeks ago.

He stressed the importance of registering on the official online platform designated to receive the coronavirus vaccine, as it is considered one of the main factors to prevent the spread of the virus.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Health recently announced that people over 30 years of age can head to a number of vaccination sites across the Kingdom to get vaccinated without appointments.

He said that the aim is to vaccinate the largest possible segment of groups that are most at-risk in terms of COVID-19.

The Kingdom confirmed seven deaths and 767 new coronavirus cases Monday.
