This week, the Saudi Ministry of Health began vaccinating citizens and residents against COVID-19 using doses from different vaccines.

This decision was approved last week.

The Saudi health authorities said this decision was made according to international scientific studies that demonstrated that giving doses of two different coronavirus vaccines could be safe and effective.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that the national vaccination campaign is continuing as planned, with 1,687,881 doses of vaccines administered to citizens and residents so far, through more than 587 centers in various regions of the Kingdom.

Wednesday, the Ministry reported that it had recorded 1,253 new coronavirus cases, 1,043 recoveries, and 13 deaths.
