Orange Jordan and Huawei Technologies Cooperatief/Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance ICT skills in the Kingdom.

The MoU was signed by the CEO of Orange Jordan Thierry Marigny and CEO of Huawei Jordan Representative Office Ethan Wang.

Under the MoU, Orange Jordan will train its digital programs’ students with Huawei’s latest technical courses, including 5G, AI, big data, cybersecurity and network. Huawei will provide experts of related content to train a maximum of 200 participants per batch remotely and offer trainees the HCIX certification.

Huawei ICT courses have been designed to deliver industry-standard training and certification courses that cater to job market requirements. The courses will equip students with the latest ICT knowledge and practical skills, increasing employability and helping to kick start their careers.

Marigny said “We are proud to partner with digital pioneer, Huawei, as we both share a vision of digital inclusion and empowerment. This cooperation will help enhance the scope of the sustainable digital programs we execute under our corporate social strategy to prepare more people across the Kingdom for the job market or starting their own businesses.”

Therefore, as a responsible digital leader, we continue to upscale the digital skills of youth by offering integrated free courses carefully designed in line with the national vision for a digital economy," Marigny added.

President of Huawei Middle East’s Carrier Business Group An Jian said that the HCIX Training and Certification program has been kicked-off to support local talents learn more about the latest technologies, train the new generations more to be ready for the future career development, as well as provide more contribution to accelerate the local ICT ecosystem establishment.

“Today, Huawei is honored to sign the HCIX MOU 2021 with Orange; we aim to provide ICT training for talented nominees through Orange and will continue supporting ICT talent cultivation in the future in different streams,” he added.
