Tuesday, Abu Dhabi announced that it is offering tourists free coronavirus vaccinations that were previously restricted to UAE citizens and residency visa holders only.

However, there is no indication that the change applies to Dubai or the other five emirates.

According to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), visitors with visas issued by Abu Dhabi and passport holders eligible for tourist visas can book free vaccines upon their arrival in the UAE through Abu Dhabi.

Additionally, holders of expired residency or entry visas are also eligible for free vaccinations.

UAE Health authorities announced that around 85 percent of the eligible population had received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
