Jordan records nine deaths and 311 new coronavirus cases
Jordan records  nine deaths and 311 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded nine deaths and 311 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 745,978.

The death toll has risen to 9,656.

The cases are: 

- 152 in Amman

- 102 in Zarqa

- 24 in Irbid, including three in Ramtha

- 12 in Mafraq

- Five in Balqa

- Five in Ma'an 

- Two in Aqaba

- Two in Karak

- Two in Jerash

- Two in Ajloun

A total of 58 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 44 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 6,659 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 528 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 729,663.

There are 470 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 15,240 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,657,848.

Saturday, 2.04 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.11 percent on Friday.
