Al-Balqa Applied University ranks 177th among best universities in Asia

Al-Balqa Applied University ranked 177th among the best universities in Asia, including Russian universities, according to the The Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE) Wednesday.

Last year, Al-Balqa University was in the category of 201-250 in the ranking.

The President of the University, Abdullah Al-Zo'ubi, congratulated the faculty, administrative staff and the university students for this achievement, which is a continuation of an integrated series of deserved achievements within a strategy formulated to gain international recognition, and to enhance the university's position and reputation in the international arena in order to raise opportunities for its students and graduates in various fields.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Saad Abu Qdais, indicated that the THE ranking is one of the most famous and indexed databases in the world.

He added that the results achieved by the university within its second participation in this ranking are the result of accumulated efforts in various fields, especially the quality of outstanding applied scientific research outputs.

Ayman Al-Alaween, the Director of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, indicated that the THE classification included 551 universities. He indicated that five Jordanian universities were able to achieve the criteria that qualified them to enter the classification list.
