Wednesday, the Minister of Transport, Wajih Azaizeh, announced the cancellation of passage fees for Jordanian trucks departing to Egypt, estimated at JD 90 per truck.

In a press statement, Azaizeh said the Arab Bridge Maritime Co. (ABMC), the exclusive carrier operating between the two countries, decided to reduce cost of truck permits by about JD 36 in both directions, and slash fees for excess weights from JD 14 to about JD 11.

Azaizeh said these measures, which were discussed and coordinated with his Egyptian counterpart, Kamel Al-Wazir, will facilitate and bolster trade between the two countries.
