Hamas to Israeli Occupation: Do not play with fire

The head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, issued a warning to the Israeli Occupation and its prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, Saturday, saying, "Do not play with fire. Al-Aqsa Mosque is our belief and our religion and the exploder of our revolution."

In a speech from the Qatari capital, Doha, Haniyeh confirmed that Hamas had warned the Israeli Occupation and called on it to remove its hands from Jerusalem and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

He said, "I assure you that this occupier, who sought and continues to change the features of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, stood before a mighty people, who entered by tens of thousands and marched from the West Bank and the 48 lands with their bare chests to defend Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa."

He added, "Tampering with Jerusalem... blows up the entire region, and the Palestinian people and the nation rose up, in order to protect the inheritance of prophethood on the land of Palestine, Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa."
