Indian mutant found in 44 countries: WHO

The World Health Organization announced Wednesday that the COVID-19 virus mutation discovered in India has been detected in dozens of countries around the world.

The United Nations organization said that the mutant, which was discovered in October in India, was detected in genetic sequence data that was included in the "GISAID" database by "44 countries in total in the WHO regions"

Outside the borders of India, the largest number of cases were discovered in Britain.
