The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said firefighters from the Aqaba Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) extinguished a fire that broke out inside an apartment in the ninth district Sunday.

Firefighting teams rushed to the site of the fire immediately and prevented it from spreading to other apartments and neighboring buildings.

A total of 14 people were evacuated from the building, all of whom are in stable health condition and did not require hospitalization.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
