Friday, SpaceX launched its third crew to the International Space Station after taking off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The four astronauts- hailing from the US, Japan, and France boarded a recycled rocket and capsule in the early morning hours. The rocket is the first of its kind.

After arriving to the Space Station Saturday, they will spend six months in space.

SpaceX, founded by billionaire Elon Musk, is an aerospace manufacturer that hopes to reduce the cost of space travel and one day allow people to travel freely to Mars.

The launch was originally scheduled for Thursday, but had to be delayed due to bad weather over the Atlantic.
