Inspection teams in Mafraq Thursday issued violations to seven establishments in the retail, trade, and supply industry that did not adhere to the price ceilings for basic consumables.
The Director of the Mafraq Industry, Trade and Supply, Engineer Ali Al-Sayyahin, told Petra that the directorate has intensified its inspection rounds, due to the recent rush of citizens to buy food and consumer goods.
He added that 25 violations were issued, including seven violations for non-compliance with the price ceilings for materials with set prices, such as poultry, oils, sugar and rice.
The rest of the violations included not showing the prices of the items offered for sale.
