The Parliamentary Committee on Public Freedoms and Human Rights praised the contents of the message of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Jordanian people earlier this week. 

The committee said the message was reassuring and embodies the strength of the state, especially in the face of challenges.

The head of the committee, MP Raed Al-Dhahrawi, said in a statement that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty, will remain a model in terms of security and stability and public freedoms and human rights, including freedom of opinion and expression.

He affirmed his support towards the homeland and standing behind His Majesty, expressing his confidence in the wisdom of our Hashemite leadership, our armed forces, the Arab Army, and the professionalism of our security apparatus that is capable of dealing with all challenges.
