Jordan records 100 deaths and 6,005 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 100 deaths and 6,005 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 645,449.

The death toll has risen to 7,383.

The cases are:

-2,269 in Amman

-942 in Irbid, including 38 in Ramtha 

-830 in Zarqa

-375 in Balqa

-306 in Mafraq

-251 in Karak

-243 in Madaba 

-204 in Ajloun

-181 in Aqaba

-171 in Jerash

-153 in Tafilah

-80 in Ma'an, including four in Petra

A total of 347 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 361 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 76,172 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 9,130 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 562,894.

There are 3,059 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 44,086 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,158,685.

Tuesday, 13.62 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 15.12 percent on Monday.
