The former Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), Dr. Hayel Obeidat Saturday questioned the reason behind the Ministry of Health's delay of the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. 

Obeidat wrote on his personal Facebook page that the rescheduling of the Pfizer vaccine has posed a major challenge between building confidence and the race for vaccines, regardless of it being based on scientific decisions or not. 

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Health for Epidemics and Communicable Diseases Dr. Adel Al-Belbisi said in a statement Friday that the MoH would delay the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine as there is no scientific reason not to.
