An Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Mohammad Al-Abed, told Roya’s Nabd Albalad Saturday that Jordan is heading toward the peak of the coronavirus in April. He added that the Kingdom might start recording 11,000-12,000 cases per day.

Abed said that Jordan has been witnessing a huge increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, stressing that adhering to the required health and safety measures which include wearing face masks and social distancing is the only way to limit the spread of the virus.

He expected the pandemic curve to begin to recede in Jordan by the end of May.

Saturday, the Kingdom recorded 87 deaths and 5,205 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 526,666.
