Jordan records 87 deaths and 5,205 new COVID-19 cases

Jordan recorded 87 deaths and 5,205 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 526,666.

The death toll has risen to 5,788.

The cases are:

  • 2,411 in Amman
  • 978 in Irbid, including 95 in Ramtha
  • 424 in Zarqa
  • 298 in Mafraq
  • 237 in Balqa
  • 198 in Aqaba
  • 178 in Ajloun
  • 149 in Madaba
  • 108 in Jerash
  • 91 in Tafilah
  • 81 in Karak
  • 52 in Ma'an, including nine in Petra

A total of 398 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 190 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 94,124 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 6,302 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 426,754.

There are 3,287 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 27,692 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 5,431,268.

Saturday, 18.8 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 18.94 percent on Wednesday.
