The long-awaited Super Mario theme park opened in Japan Thursday after months of pandemic-related delays.

The theme park, which is designed to look straight out of the Super Mario video game, cost about $700 million to build and is found in Osaka.

Similar theme parks are set to soon be built in the United States.

The park is currently operating at reduced capacity and using several precautionary measures, like timed tickets and mandatory mask-wearing, to ensure the safety of guests.
