Palestine records 13 deaths and 1,889 new COVID-19 cases

Palestine recorded 13 deaths and 1,889 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Monday.

The new deaths involved 13 in the West Bank including one in Jericho and al-Aghwar; five in Hebron; two in Ramallah and al-Bireh; three in Tulkarem; one in Nablus and one in Jenin.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 89.0 percent, while the active case rate is 9.9 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 337 in Nablus; 82 in Salfit; 385 in Hebron; 302 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 112 in Tulkarem; 140 in Bethlehem; 92 in Qalqilya; 78 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 89 in Jenin; 42 in Tubas; 34 in Jericho and al-Aghwar and 196 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 97 in Nablus; 80 in Salfit; 338 in Hebron; 436 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 89 in Tulkarem; 190 in Bethlehem; 25 in Qalqilya; 142 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 54 in Jenin; 35 in Tubas; 15 in Jericho and al-Aghwar and 113 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 155 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 39 are on ventilators.
