The Ministry of Health Saturday released data about the COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom, which showed that a total of 30,883 children have been infected with coronavirus in Jordan since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis.

A total of 4,436 confirmed cases have been recorded among children under the age of five and 26,447 cases among children between the ages of five and 14 years.

The confirmed cases among children account for approximately 7.4 percent of the total number of COVID-19 cases in Jordan, which up until Friday was 417,934 cases.

In light of the current COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Education decided last Thursday to suspend the return of fourth-ninth grade students to in-person education until further notice.
