The Ministry of Education (MoE) Thursday announced that fourth to ninth grade students' return to in-person education has been suspended until further notice. This came due to the current COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom.

Therefore, these students will continue learning through distance education.

In a statement, the ministry added that other students who have already returned to in-class education at the beginning of the second semester will continue going to schools.

The ministry stressed that health monitoring campaigns and daily inspections will continue in all public and private schools to ensure compliance with the health and safety protocols.

Feb. 7, schools across the Kingdom started gradually with only Kindergarten children, first graders and Tawjihi students returning on the first day.
