Late Thursday, the Journalist Tayseer Al-Najjar died due to a pre-existing heart condition, according to close associates of Najjar.

Prior to his death, Najjar took to Facebook to acknowledge the severity of his condition, "It is unfortunate that my heart has all this pain," he said.

Najjar worked for the Jordanian newspaper Al-Dustour, the Petra News Agency, and as an editor for Al-Araby Al-Jadeed and several  other Arab sites.

He was also a member of the Jordan Press Association and the Jordanian Writers Society. Moreover, Najjar was also a critic and a poet.
