Palestine confirms three deaths and 470 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded three deaths and 470 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Saturday.

The new deaths involved three in the West Bank.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 94 percent, while the active case rate is 4.9 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 13 in Tubas; 23 in Tulkarm; 25 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 33 in Hebron; 25 in Salfit; 30 in Bethlehem; 29 in Nablus; eight in Qalqilya; nine in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 92 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 11 in Jenin; and 172 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included five in Tubas; 13 in Tulkarm; zero in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 32 in Hebron; 19 in Salfit; 13 in Bethlehem; 32 in Nablus; zero in Qalqilya; six in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 99 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 26 in Jenin; and 185 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 63 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 15 are on ventilators.

A total of 2,875 PCR tests were conducted.
