Saturday, the Director of the Meteorology Department, Raed Al Khattab, said that preliminary analyses of numerical models and simulations of the weather did not indicate snowfall during the upcoming week.
However, Khattab added that the department monitors the weather around the clock and the region may be affected by a cold and wet air mass that may lead to rain by the end of the week.
He said that the temperatures will remain higher than their normal levels by about 6 to 7 degrees Celsius until next Wednesday evening.
Khattab said that the temperatures will gradually decrease to approach their usual levels for this time of the year.
