Palestine records 26 deaths and 855 new coronavirus cases
Palestine recorded 26 deaths and 855 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Saturday.
The new deaths involved 13 in the West Bank (one in Salfi; one in Tubas; five in Ramallah; one in Hebron; three in Qalqilya, and two in the suburbs of Jerusalem), eight in the Gaza Strip and four in Jerusalem city.
The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 89 percent, while the active case rate is 10 percent and the death rate is one percent.
The new coronavirus cases included 23 in Salfit; 29 in Tulkarem; 46 in Nablus; 17 in Tubas; 59 in Ramallah; 34 in Jenin; 33 in Hebron; nine in Qalqilya; 14 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; two in Jericho; 14 in Bethlehem; 347 in the Gaza Strip and 228 in Jerusalem city.
The recovery cases included 25 in Salfit; 50 in Tulkarem; 105 in Nablus; 11 in Tubas; 212 in Ramallah; 60 in Jenin; 59 in Hebron; 14 in Jericho; 111 in Bethlehem; 555 in the Gaza Strip, and 220 in Jerusalem city.
Currently, 100 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 23 are on ventilators.
A total of 2,913 PCR tests were conducted.
