Palestine records 21 deaths and 1,539 new coronavirus cases
Palestine recorded 21 deaths and 1,539 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Wednesday.
The new deaths involved 10 in the West Bank (one in Tulkarem; two in Nablus; four in Jenin; three in Hebron), 10 in the Gaza Strip and one in Jerusalem City.
The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 84.8 percent, while the active case rate is 14.2 percent and the death rate is one percent.
The new coronavirus cases included 15 in Tubas; 61 in Tulkarem; 30 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 16 in Qalqilya; 31 in Salfit; 134 in Ramallah; 59 in Nablus; 74 in Jenin; 79 in Hebron; 50 in Bethlehem; 17 in Jericho; 262 in Jerusalem City and 711 in Gaza Strip.
The recovery cases included 28 in Tubas; 77 in Tulkarem; 18 in Qalqilya; 35 in Salfit; 209 in Ramallah; 336 in Nablus; 167 in Jenin; 171 in Hebron; nine in Jericho; 310 Jerusalem City and 995 in Gaza Strip.
Currently, 113 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 27 are on ventilators.
A total of 4,936 PCR tests were conducted Wednesday.
