Palestine recorded 21 deaths and 1,306 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Saturday.

The new deaths involved nine in the West Bank (one in Hebron; one in Tulkarem; one in Tubas;  one in Jenin; one in Qalqilya; one in Ramallah; one in Jericho; one in Nablus, and one in Bethlehem) and 12 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 82.9 percent, while the active case rate is 16.2 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases include 61 in Tulkarem; 30 in Salfit; 65 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 68 in Nablus; 15 in Tubas; 47 in Bethlehem; 103 in Ramallah; 16 in Qalqilya; 43 in Hebron; 61 in Jenin; five in Jericho and 792 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 56 in Tulkarem; 31 in Salfit; 147 in Nablus; 20 in Tubas; 111 in Bethlehem; 177 in Ramallah; 162 in Hebron; 291 in Jenin and 405 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 121 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 30 are on ventilators.

A total of 3,840 PCR tests were conducted Friday.
