Jordan records 30 deaths and 1,616 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 30 deaths and 1,616 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 285,306.

The death toll has risen to 3,711.

 The cases are:

-627 in Irbid, including 79 in Ramtha

-477 in Amman

-146 in Mafraq

-75 in Jerash

-33 in Karak

-23 in Ma'an, including eight in Petra

-Six in Ajloun

-138 in Zarqa

-41 in Balqa

-29 in Tafilah

-17 in Madaba

-Four in Aqaba

A total of 102 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 100 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 25,283 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,816 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 256,312.

There are 769 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 16,827 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 3,057,169.

Friday, 9.6 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
