Palestine records 33 deaths and 1,845 new COVID-19 cases

Palestine recorded 33 deaths and new 1,845 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Saturday.

The new deaths involved 17 in the West Bank (three in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; two in Nablus; four in Jenin; two in Bethlehem, three in Tulkarem; one in the suburbs of Jerusalem and two in Hebron), 13 in Gaza Strip and three in Jerusalem city.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 78.5 percent, while the active case rate is 20.7 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases include 134 in Hebron; 263 in Jenin; 165 in Nablus; 56 in Tulkarem; 144 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 43 in Salfit; 23 in Qalqilya; 33 in Tubas; 45 in Bethlehem; six in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 60 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 505 in Gaza Strip and 368 in Jerusalem city.

A total of 2,182 recovery cases were recorded including 243 in Hebron; 123 in Jenin; 42 in Nablus; 93 in Tulkarem; 217 in Bethlehem; 55 in Salfit; 47 in Tubas; 90 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 14 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 315 in the suburbs of Jerisalem; 718 in Gaza Strip and 225 in Jerusalem city.

Currently, 83 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 26 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,469 PCR tests were taken Saturday.
