Palestine confirms 19 deaths and 2,738 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 19 deaths and 2,738 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaileh Thursday.

The new deaths involved 13 in the West Bank, two in Jerusalem and four in Gaza Strip. The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 76.1 percent, while the active case rate is 23.1 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases include 266 in Hebron; 311 in Nablus; 162 in Bethlehem; 64 in Qalqilya; 192 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 342 in Jenin; 19 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 105 in Salfit; 134 in Tulkarem; 50 in Tubas; 827 in Gaza Strip; 44 in the suburbs of Occupied Jerusalem; and 222 in Jerusalem.

The recovery cases include 154 in Hebron; 148 in Jenin; 224 in Nablus; 44 in Tulkarem; 132 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 13 in Salfit; eight in Jericho and al-Aghwar; and 502 in Gaza Strip; and 208 in Jerusalem.

Currently, 74 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 17 are on ventilators.
