Jordan records 61 deaths and 4,580 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 61 deaths and 4,580 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 207,601.

The death toll since the beginning of the crisis is 2,570.

The cases are:

  • 1,442 in Amman
  • 648 in Mafraq
  • 365 in Zarqa
  • 158 in Tafilah
  • 138 in Karak
  • 72 in Ma'an, including 26 in Petra
  • 867 in Irbid, including 146 in Ramtha
  • 371 in Jerash
  • 186 in Madaba
  • 146 in Balqa
  • 126 in Ajloun
  • 61 in Aqaba

A total of 234 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 194 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 64,694 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 4,750 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 140,400.

There are 2,092 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 485 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 26,257 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,487,561.

Friday, 17.4 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
