Jordan records 71 deaths and 5,861 new COVID-19 cases
Jordan records 71 deaths and 5,861 new COVID-19 cases

Jordan has recorded 71 deaths and 5,861 new coronavirus cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 149,539.

The cases are:

  • 3,169 in Amman
  • 437 in Zarqa
  • 281 in Aqaba
  • 140 in Madaba
  • 123 in Tafilah
  • 102 in Mafraq
  • 769 in Irbid, including 147 in Ramtha
  • 293 in Balqa
  • 202 in Jerash
  • 130 in Karak
  • 114 in Ma'an, including 90 in Petra
  • 101 in Ajloun
The death toll since the beginning of the crisis amounts to 1,843.

A total of 283 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 244 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 2,141 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 454 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 26,475 PCR tests have been conducted Monday, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,210,501.

Monday, 22.1 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
