Seven deaths and 976 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded seven deaths and 976 new COVID-19 cases, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Saturday.

The deaths reported included five in the West Bank and two in the Gaza Strip. The recovery rate stands at 87.5 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.6 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 54 in Hebron; 144 in Nablus; 26 in Bethlehem; 27 in Qalqilya; 78 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 45 in Jenin; 18 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; eight in Salfit; 37 in Tulkarem; eight in Tubas; 406 in Gaza Strip; 13 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 112 in Jerusalem City.

The recovery cases include 49 in Hebron; 39 in Jenin; 35 in Nablus; 22 in Tulkarem; 18 in Qalqilya; nine in Salfit; 12 in Tubas; 78 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 293 in Gaza Strip and 30 in Jerusalem City.

Currently, 39 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 10 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,476 PCR tests have been conducted.
