Ten deaths and 653 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 10 deaths and 653 new COVID-19 cases, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Saturday.

The deaths reported included 9 in the West Bank and one in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 87.9 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.2 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 25 in Hebron; 95 in Nablus; 32 in Bethlehem; 33 in Qalqilya; 72 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 27 in Jenin; nine in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 17 in Salfit; 19 in Tulkarem; four in Tubas; 310 in Gaza Strip; and 10 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 424 recovery cases have been recorded involving 47 in Hebron; 20 in Jenin; 27 in Nablus; 24 in Tulkarem; 10 in Salfit; one in Tubas; and 295 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 40 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and nine are on ventilators.

A total of 3,922 PCR tests have been conducted.
