Emirati budget airline Flydubai will operate the first regular flight between the UAE and the Israeli Occupation November 26, announced the airlines on it’s website Wednesday.

Flydubai said it would operate two flights per day between Dubai and Tel Aviv, following the signing of a historic agreement to normalize relations that would grant the Occupation an unprecedented outlet with the UAE.

The UAE and Tel Aviv are looking forward to capitalizing on the agreement in the tourism, trade and technology sectors, especially since the two countries are experiencing economic difficulties in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.

"The start of regular flights will contribute to economic development and create more opportunities for investment and achieving our interests," said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai.

"With the start of these services, there will be an option to increase access to the United Arab Emirates, as well as to the Indian Ocean, the Far East and Africa, which reduces the total flight times by several hours," he said.

After a limited number of direct flights onboard the commercial aircraft, the UAE and the Israeli Occupation agreed October 20 to exempt their citizens from travel visas, making the UAE the first Arab country to exclude its citizens from this procedure allowing them to enter the Occupation.

This decision was agreed upon following a visit of the first official Emirati delegation to Tel Aviv, a week after the signing of an agreement to establish relations at the White House under the patronage of US President Donald Trump.
