A total of 240 coronavirus patients are currently receiving treatment at Prince Hamza Hospital, announced the hospital's direcor, Majed Nusseir, on Wednesday.

Nusseir added, 48 of these patients are in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) at the hospital. In addition, 10 patients are on ventilators and in critical health condition.

Prince Hamzah Hospital has a total of 1,300 beds, including 800 in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU), Nusseir added.

Jordan has recored 823 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, 820 of which are local cases.
