Jaber Border Crossing into Syria has returned to operate for truck traffic only on Sunday morning, after it was closed for nearly two months due to the spread of coronavirus.
The Ministry of Public Works and Housing started implementing a tender of JD 1.2 million, in order to establish yards and caravans which will be helpul to apply the required health and safety protocols such as social distancing, said the Director of Roads Department at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Ma’an Rabadi.
Rabadi added, the ministry started on September 14, the implementation of the tender and completed most of it so far.
However, no date has been announced yet for passengers to travel.
